Manuscripts Guidelines
MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION STYLE SHEET:
Citation: SWJSD prefers the in footnotes which should be numbered sequentially. However, endnotes numbered sequentially or notes/ references listed alphabetically can also be presented as a list of References at the end of the manuscript. The journal has drawn the system, as well as some of the illustrations, from both APA and for legal citation Harvard Bluebook 19th Edition
The author/s are request to strictly follow the guidelines (stated below) and the style sheet for citation and references. This will help reduce processing times of articles that have been accepted for publication.
All manuscripts submitted must:
- Address an important topic in the field of educational research from a multidisciplinary approach;
- Adequately incorporate existing, relevant and updated literature;
- and Contribute to and expand our understanding of learning and educational micro and macro processes.
Style: All manuscripts should follow APA style (Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 7th edition, 2020). Below are some examples of referencing:

- Length: All the submissions should have between 4.000 and 8.000 words and doubled-space throughout, including all materials. The files should be submitted in MS Word, WordPerfect o RTF format.
- Format: The manuscripts should be presented in the format MS Word or RTF, following the template provided above.
- Abstract and Keywords: All manuscripts should to include an abstract between 100 and 200 words. Between three and five keywords defining the focus of the article are also needed.
- Source of funding: In the case that the research from which the article has been developed has received funding. The name of the agency and the project code must be indicated both in the specific section of the form for sending the article and in the article itself in the section on acknowledgments.
- Title: A running title of less than 25 characters should be included on the title page.
- Notes: Try to avoid notes whenever possible. All notes should be endnotes and not as footnote in order to not distract the reader.
- Abbreviation: The only abbreviations that can be used are those universally accepted.
- Gender equality: Follow the indications of the guide APA 7th edition for the use of an inclusive language in the writing of the article; Include the full name of the authors who sign the article; Inform about the original data of the research, taking into account the sex in order to allow the identification of possible differences.
- Authorship: Candidates should avoid any clue about the authorship of the work submitted especially in the first pages of the manuscript. Name(s) of the author(s) must not appear in the manuscript. Information about the authors is included in the Electronic platform but not inside the sent manuscript file for review.
- Contribution to the preparation of the article: Information on the specific contribution of each of the authors of the submitted article should be provided in a separate document to be attached to the submission. This document will indicate the criteria chosen for the order of signature of each author and the specific contribution of each of them in the preparation of the article.
